Dustin Stohler is a labor an employment attorney who advises employers on labor and employment law. Dustin is the former general counsel and V.P. of human resources at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state agency that handles unemployment insurance claims. In that capacity, he drafted unemployment insurance laws and regulations, oversaw the unemployment hearings and the unemployment insurance review board. Prior to joining the Department of Workforce Development, Dustin was a labor and employment attorney at Baker & Daniels and Littler Mendelson.
Dustin advises clients on the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), covenants not to compete, and other workplace issues. Additionally, he regularly advises employers on ways to reduce their unemployment insurance burden.
Dustin has spoke at the Chamber of Commerce, the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations, and several other trade organizations.
Dustin received a B.A. in Economics from Wabash College and a J.D. from Indiana University.
