Ridiculous author trying to write funny things that make you think, "I want to read more of this." A creator of bizarre worlds, creatures, characters, and ideas (I think that nails down all the noun categories) in the Cloudy Cuckoo Cosmos, another universe without an Earth. For that reason it is some type of Science Fantasy setting where things happen that probably don't on the Earth we live on. As I like to say, I want to be a professional author and then be unprofessional about it.
In the context of the Cloudy Cuckoo Cosmos I, Duth Olec, left Earth for several reasons, kidnapped- errr, I mean, picked up a narrator by the name of Wally Plotch from his previous employer as it crumbled, and put him to work writing down these events.
In the context of Earth, that hasn't happened yet.

What are you working on next?
I am always working on what is next! I guess this should be obvious, there's not much of a reason to work on what you've already finished. As of right now I am working on Wandering Fortunes, a novel that, while is in the same Cloudy Cuckoo Cosmos universe as my first two novels, features everything new--new cast, new setting, new species. It features three friends who decide to head out to the big city and make a name for themselves and a difference in the world, and instead find a mafia that chases them off the planet. But they have other options, and it still might work out. Right now you can read about half of the in-progress version on my website. https://dutholeccuckooland.wordpress.com/cloudy-cuckoo-cosmos/novels/wandering-fortunes/
Who are your favorite authors?
Terry Pratchett is definitely a favorite. Well, was. *sad* I've read all the main novels, and some of the side works, too. They're funny, thought-provoking, and British, which I have been told I have a humor akin to. Gee, I wonder why?? Ryan North, while primarily known for comics, has also done a few novel-type things that always turn out hilarious. While not a traditional style of author, we don't live in traditional times anymore. Internet! Laurie Penny is another good writer with good style! I've also got to admire Salman Rushdie for not being afraid to write passionately and unapologetically? Finally, because I'm weird, another who is technically a creator of a comic: Andrew Hussie. Although what he makes kind of transcends comics at some point. He's weird and ridiculous, something I strive for in my life and writing. I just realized the only Americans on this list actually do comics, HMMM.
