Derrick Walton started his writing career at the age of seventeen years of age as a junior in high school. Deep down he knew he had a gift that would one day reach the masses of people who are suffering or dealing with obstacles and ailments that make them feel inferior or less than. So at the age of 21 he transformed his poetic gift into writing different genres of music that he and people he encountered along the way produced. But deep down something still was missing it wasn't affective to his generation as he planned and although he continued to write and record music while losing friends, peers, and other close relationships along the way, he never gave up on what GOD placed in his heart.
Just on the verge of throwing in the towel he was talking to one his close friends who told him countless times before your music and albums tell stories maybe you should try to write a book.
He finally took his advice denying all fears and agonies about it being too short or not having enough to say he just began writing. As a result of him taking some great advice this book is what came to life and there are plenty more waiting to reach the surface!
So he presents to you “Beyond the Surface” tapping into the unknown dimensions. A book in where he tries to get readers to search beyond the tangible and physical features but tap into that inner being that GOD has placed in each of us and accomplish your dreams goals and that we have what it takes to change the world around us!
