Giles, a drunken, Australian scriptwriter is supervising the storylining of an Australian-German TV soap. His colleagues, a skirt-chasing ex-cop, a Florence Nightingale wannabe, and a plot mechanic from Moonee Ponds, immerse Giles in tortuous intrigues.
