Ed Marishta

Ed Marishta was born and raised in the small town of Gramsh in Albania to a working class couple. He has four other siblings, all of whom live now outside Albania.
Growing up in a fairly big family and poor country, it was usually his imagination that compensated for what they materially lacked, and imagination he had plenty. As early as 10 years old, Ed tried to write his first piece, a fantasy story about a little boy with psychic powers, which he titled “The Adventures of Ren”. Sadly, that manuscript was lost and he never got to finish it or any other work until many years later, when he picked up working again on several different projects.
He does not consider himself to be a writer and will probably never make this his profession, but he loves telling stories and sharing them with others.
‘The Endërland Chronicles: Book of Daniel’ is the first finished work he publishes, mostly for his own pleasure and as fulfilment of a promise made. He is currently working on a second novel, a love story with a supernatural element, but he has planned two more books in 'The Endërland Chronicles' series.

Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a fairly small town in Albania. Not having much in terms of material possessions made for an over-developed imagination that had to be put to use somehow; that and the fairy-tales my mother used to tell us every night before we went to sleep. It was my favorite time and if for whatever reason we would not get one, I would always make them up myself.
When did you first start writing?
I was only 10 when I started to write my first fantasy novel:) I remember very well what it was about, though the manuscript is long lost. Funnily enough, all my other projects since then and until now have not been fantasy.

Having published a novel myself, I know just how important spreading the word and reviewing a book this good is. I enjoyed it immensely and will of course move on to the rest of the books in the series for more magic, humour and a whole range of emotions that I very rarely feel while reading a book.
