Rudolph Klement was, along with Leon Sedov, James P. Cannon, Erwin Wolf and many other revolutionary leaders, part of the breed of cadres forged by Leon Trotsky in his struggle to found the Fourth Internationa,l in the fight against social democracy and Stalinism which had defected to the bourgeois imperialist camp as counterrevolutionary agents, in 1914 the first, and definitely in 1933 the second.
The Socialist Publishing House Rudolph Klement bears this name as a tribute to one of the main leaders who fought for the foundation of the Fourth International, and to whom Leon Trotsky had assigned the task of presenting the opening report at the Founding Conference held in Paris on September 3, 1938. Rudolph Klement was not able to fulfill that task, since a few days before he was kidnapped and murdered by the secret police of Stalin, the nefarious GPU. His life and experience synthesize then the best of that generation that fought to give continuity to Bolshevism.
