Smashwords Interview

What do your fans mean to you?
A fan is someone who has read my book and has put into practice what I teach so their life has been positively transformed and they are now able to share their own message with the world with confidence. This means I have succeeded in my mission of helping others shine their light on the world and the more fans the more people who no longer shy away from what they really love doing. It feels me with great satisfaction knowing that there are more people out there who are empowered to give of themselves so that they can share their truth and their message in a way that elevates everyone else. It's an upward spiral!
Who are your favorite authors?
I love Margaret Atwood and George Orwell. Not exactly self-help :) They are visionaries who tell their truth with engaging stories. I think the hardest thing to write is fiction. In a way, fiction writers actually write 'non-fiction', in the sense that they really need to have a clear vision of the human condition in order to be able to portray their characters in a realistic way and engaging way. They need to have a deep understanding of psychology, sociology, politics and sometimes even criminology (for all the thriller writers out there) and the way all of those subjects correlate to one another. On top of that they need to know how to present all of their ideas in a way that is entertaining. It is work that only genius can achieve.
