Growing up in Minneapolis, MN has its perks! Elizabeth is currently attending school for creative writing and photography. When she's not working on a story- or doing her homework- she's teaching a self-defense class for the women at her school, reading other books, and watching a multitude of television. The Spring Equinox is her first full length novel. She is currently working on the sequel to it, The Summer Solstice, as well as a brand new series called The Marked Ones. Be sure to check out her Facebook and Twitter pages for more updates!
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I was a junior in high school. Ever since my favorite season of my favorite TV show aired, I had nothing else on my mind but a certain storyline. A love triangle between a girl, the archangel Michael, and Lucifer set during the apocalypse. I've written countless versions of that storyline throughout the years, and with The Marked Ones series, I've finally got the version I love the most! And along the way, I've written a few different stories, one of which is The Spring Equinox.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I know it's very hard to get a book published in this day and age. One of my favorite authors is an indie author and she had pointed out that many writers are going this route. This way I can get a following of readers and work on my craft until I'm ready for the more traditional route!
Everything was normal for college student Cassy Johnson, until spring semester of her freshman year at the University of New Orleans. She had been working on a short story for her creative writing class. Not being able to come up with the description of her antagonist, she asked her best friends, Ava and Morgan, to help her out. They came up with the perfect bad boy. Problem is... he's too perfect and too bad. A messed up spell brings warlock Kaden to life. It becomes his mission to take over New Orleans... and Cassy's heart.
