Jack Owen

Biography

British born journalist Jack Owen is an internationally published author, sailor and antiquarian bookseller, based in Palm Beach, Florida.
Murder, mystery and society's mores were a daily occurrence, for decades, when he was on a first-name basis with many of the players. Not all stories could be substantiated and many were killed before getting into print. Some reemerged as fiction.
He first discovered the abandoned millionaires club retreat on Jekyll Island, during an end of season motor-yacht delivery to Newport, via the Intracoastal Waterway, in the 1970's. He's been digging ever since. His research unraveled many of the rumors, mysteries and legends surrounding the exclusive island.
Book dealers are a canny lot, always bearing in mind caveat emptor when book buying..
“Skeptics may scoff, but as the Wikileaks scandals confirmed, nothing is beyond belief,” Owen said.
