Eric Malikyte

Hello! I’m Eric Malikyte, writer and illustrator. I primarily write dark fiction, cosmic horror, science fiction with horror elements, and dark fantasy. I was raised on a healthy diet of science fiction, fantasy, and a fear of the unknown. Thanks to shows like Sightings and The Art Bell Show, I developed a mixed interest in the sciences and the paranormal. I live in Northern Virginia, where I spend time working odd hours and talking to my cat while I write my novels.

Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I get this question a lot, actually. I think it's everything about it. Some writers are more fond of the initial drafting of a story or novel, but hate editing, or revising, or any of the other steps in the process, but I love the whole process. Building worlds, lore, and memorable (flawed) characters shines through more toward the end of that process for me.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without readers, what would I be? My fans and patrons mean so much to me. That probably sounds cliche, but it's true. Without them, I wouldn't be here. My stories and novels would sit on some flash drive, collecting digital dust.
