Erin Anastasia is twenty-years old and lives in South Africa. She credits her love for writing to her creative imagination, growing up anti-social and to being an avid reader. In her own words, Erin is ocean inspired, a tea lover, and a bibliophile. Erin writes in the hopes of evoking emotion from readers and proudly states that she was the kid who got in trouble for reading under her desk in class.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I consider writing to be a freeing form of emotion and expression. By writing, I have found this beautiful way of making people and myself feel something. When I write, nothing exists - just the feeling of each character and plot. I have now learned how to express myself - something in which I found difficult before.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
A cup of tea. (laughs) But really, I just think of all the many books I need to read and write and all the more reasons why I should get up; which comes down to how can I make a positive difference in the world. If it means bringing a smile to a person because of a story I wrote, or encouraging another to read then that's always a good reason to wake up.
