Savannah's Succulents: The Blush Cut

Donโt buy this one. ๐๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐ฎ. Iโd read the โfirst bookโ for free and I was well aware that the second has a different (happier) ending than the Blush Cut, but I went with this one anyways because 1) I wanted the full story on one file, and 2) there isnโt actually non-con/rape in the first book, despite the warnings. Because as it turns out, the โfirst bookโ is really just the first three chapters of this story. All those warnings actually apply to the ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฉ of the story, whether itโs the Book Two version or this Blush Cut version, and dear God I wish Iโd heeded them. When the author says this is truly a rape story, she ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ถ๐. The victims come out irreparably damaged, if they survive at all, and thereโs a lot of drugging going on. Iโm giving two stars only because it was written well and the first ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ฉ (the three free chapters) were good enough to convince me to buy this. I am not going to risk buying Book 2, however. I think the author needs to combine Book 1 and Book 2 into its own Happy Version, and this could stay the Unhappy Version (plus maybe put this in the Erotic Horror section), so that those looking for a HEA can have the full story without needing to go back and forth between two separate book files. Make it clear and easy for readers to choose which version is right for them.

An absolutely wonderful short story. I canโt believe something of this quality is free! I loved all the characters, the moody, mystical atmosphere, the writing style, the pacing, the everything. My only issue is that there is no sequel! (;ยดเผเบถูนเผเบถ`) Now I long for more Drakjan and Hraban, more of this world, more stories by this author (GO READ LOVE FOR THE COLD-BLOODED!). I would ๐ก๐ค๐ซ๐ a dozen novel-length sequels to this (only in my dreams, I know, but hey โ dream big). Happy reading!
