Ethan Holmes

Biography

Ethan Holmes is the author of six books including the novels, Earth's Blood, Water and The Keystone. He is also the author of two collections of short stories, A Multi-Pack of Brain Flakes and Shorts and Other Laundry.. Currently residing in Northern Arizona, he enjoys hiking, playing twelve string guitar, reading, writing and participation in most active sports.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew out of my childhood, but not necessarily "up", in rural Pennsylvania, Amish country to be specific. Being around earthy, sincere and very 'religious' people would later influence many of my stories and characters.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since at least the age of ten, beginning with silly poems and unnecessarily long essays for homework.
