About the Author
I grew up in a small town in Maine and loved books and reading from an early age. On the elementary school playground, I could often be found sitting away from the action with a book in my hands. I was also the kid in class who got in trouble for reading a book in my desk instead of paying attention to the lesson being taught. This quickly evolved into gazing longingly out the window, daydreaming, and making up stories about people who didn’t exist. It only stood to reason that I would go on to be an English major and, later, a librarian.
I live in a small town near San Antonio, Texas with my husband of nearly sixteen years. I have 2 grown children, two “tween” daughters, four incredibly spoiled cats, and a large black lab. I hold a BA in English and a Masters degree in Education. I have worked as a technical writer, freelance journalist covering everything from church festivals to high school football, book reviewer, teacher, and librarian.
After a number of years in the TX public school system, first as a teacher and then as a librarian, I am finally able to realize my dream of being a full time author. Three of my manuscripts have been "traditionally" published. When I am not writing, I enjoy photography, reading, crochet, and travel.
