I was born in 1921 and brought up in Liverpool. When the 2nd World War broke out I drove an ambulance for the Civil Defence Ambulance Service. I married John who was in the Royal Air Force. I have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. I moved to Skelmersdale in 1972, and am still happy here.
This is the story of Eve Fletcher, born into a Liverpool household during the Great Depression of 1927. A heartwarming tale of a young woman who, despite the era she grows up in, considers that she has had an exceptionally fortunate life.
