Evelin A. Hope

As long as I can remember, I preferred cars over dolls. It was funny, but my family encouraged me. It was clear I loved technology and computers and would one day find my place in IT. And as expected, I had no gift for art, but I dived into writing as my brain couldn't leave me alone with stories.

And so here I am, sharing my creations.

  • Tenebra Zeta #1 - Tomb of Plagues on Sep. 11, 2019

Review V2 (because around 75% was trimmed T_T): I'm glad I picked this book. It's fast-paced, but still offers enough space for characters to shine. The brother-sister duo is hilarious and works well despite completely different personalities. I like how each of them is different, yet they work together as a team. The small hints you dropped along the way about Lance make me curious what his whole story is about. His sister Monica is one of a kind - flirty yet caring. The action parts were easy to follow and didn't rely only on physical strength. The tactical bits were welcomed spice, making the fight more realistic. I noticed some Easter Eggs, and I love them. Well placed and bringing memories :-D You also left some hints about Lance, and it sure got me interested in what it'S all about. The ending especially left me with questions. Great job and I sure can recommend this book for a quick read ;-)
  • Tenebra Zeta #2: The Lone Wolf Slinger on Sep. 19, 2019

I have finished the second book, and man, I enjoyed it :-) It continues right after the first one with a nice look into Lance's past and not so happy moments of his childhood. The monster of the book is sure a rare pick, kudos for that. The little spin to zombies makes them more interesting and also challenging. The atmosphere you sent made me excited through the whole fight. Jack seems to be a funny guy, and I like how he talks and has many wise words. I'll surely read the next book in the series soon :-) I'm getting into this short series more than I expected.
  • Tenebra Zeta #3 - The Devil of Osaka on Sep. 23, 2019

Another great book in the series. I love how we learn about Lance with each book, and the opening scene brought tears to my eyes. Well done. Jack is as charming as in the previous book. Akumi is a great addition. I like how each of them is an expert for different fighting style. It makes their group more dynamic Since we have more characters to follow, so not everybody gets so much spot-light, but all get their chance to shine. I'm sure the next book will be a blast to read :-)
  • The Wooden Maiden on Oct. 11, 2019

This story may be short, but it's such a pleasant read. I like fantasy stories, but I don't like romance that much, but here it is perfectly balanced. Both MCs are different, and together they grow closer in a natural way - so no insta love ;-) Even when the premise is simple, this story made me hold my breath on a few occasions as the storyline could go any way. I recommend this book to anybody who has a free hour in front of them ;-) You won't be disappointed.
  • The Rapihi Chronicles on Oct. 11, 2019

I'm way past the age for child-books, but it's nice to give one or two a try. After all, returning to your childhood can be such a fun ride :-) A story involving plush toys is sure new to me. with this book, you can catch a glimpse of how your plush toys may feel when we leave them or hug them. Rapihi is a curious dragon living with his two humans he loves and cherishes and vice versa. The simple storytelling is perfect for small kids and will provide a nice bed-time story or their first reading experience. Include a few beautiful pictures and you know you can't go wrong here :-)
