A real page turner - Amy is such a compellingly believable character -- enduring all that abuse yet never losing her own sense of self. The other characters who populate the town and the story only add to the many layers of this famil sage -- I feel as if I know them!

Did I say believable in my review of "Mud and Gold"? "Settling the Account" is almost too much so -- I'm ready to jerk a knot in Lizzie. Hope to see more from the very creative pen of Ms. Parkinson!
