Sven Larson is originally from Sweden. He studied economics and philosophy at the Univer-sity of Uppsala and University of Stockholm, where he also worked as a teacher’s assistant in economics. After a couple of as a freelance writer and lecturer on economic policy, he moved to Denmark where in 2000 he earned a Ph.D. in Social Sciences with Major in Eco-nomics. He came to the United States in 2002, where, after teaching at a small liberal arts college he spent ten years working for free-market think tanks. He has written several books, including Industrial Poverty (Gower, 2014) to date the most exhaustive macroeconomic analysis of the European economic crisis.
