Ronald Smythe

Ronald G. J. Smythe has been drawing and painting since the age of 5 years old. Born in the year of the tiger, he has always had cats as pets and loved to draw them. While stricken with polio at the age of 15, he overcame his illness and used his talents (playing guitar & drawing) as therapy to regain his strength in his hands and fingers. He drew pictures for his nurses & doctors. Ronald was fortunate to be able to work with real live tigers, leopards, snow leopards, cougers and even a White Tiger. Ronald has always been fascinated with wildlife and has rekindled one of his many talents, sketching cats, to compile this series of books. Since 1990 he has had a dream of being an author as well as the illustrator and use his own publishing company to help promote his drawings and book series. Currently, the first books are being sent out free to hospitals everywhere worldwide for kids to enjoy everywhere. Books are now being sold to the general public to help raise funds for The White Tiger Foundation to help with printing cost and distribution of the books. Please share this book with everyone like Ronald does.

Attention! Faith's Cat Coloring Book #1 is now being sent out World-Wide to all hospitals for children everywhere. To date it has been sent out to Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, England, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Bahamas, Japan and many others. Any suggestions or email contacts would be greatly appreciated. This book is dedicated to my Dad, David W. (Sr.) who taught me how to draw when I was little. He was a WWII vet, carpenter, inventor, artist, & my best friend in the whole world. Faith's Cat Coloring Book is an all ages coloring book that was designed for children in hospitals to ward off boredom. The books originally were meant as Christmas presents for friends and family.
Now it has grown into a non-profit to help entertain children during their stay in the hospital (or help brighten their stay) and to help give back to the community. It has even been used as therapy for some patients. Profits from sales of the Faith's Cat Coloring Book series goes towards printing cost of more books for hospitals locally and around the world. To date over 8500 books have been printed and given away free locally in MN to hospitals, fire departments, churches and food shelves. Please go to our website (and) (and) to find out more information about our book series, mission and up coming events. The White Tiger Foundation is dedicated to providing coloring books for kids in hospitals locally and around the world for free. Every book sold helps to pay for printing cost of extra books for our non-profit to donate to hospitals for kids to ward off boredom during their stay. Currently our foundation is a 317(a) and working on our 501(c)3 status. We will be updating and creating websites to help get the word out about our book series. The first set of 10 books are of cats, big and small, wild and domestic. Especially "TIGERS" Which we will be having a bonus book of just Tigers, Tiger cubs and similar themes. Please check out our sites for more information on our foundation, updates for book projects, mission and upcoming events.
