Canice Chukwuemeka Njoku, C.S.Sp
Fr. Njoku Canice Chukwuemeka, C.S.Sp. is a Catholic priest and a member of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost Fathers and Brothers, also known as the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans). He was born in Nigeria, and has been a missionary in Puerto Rico (Caribbean, “Island of Enchantment”), since 2014.
Originally, he studied and practiced Food Science & Technology (FST) before responding to the call to religious and priestly life in 2003. In addition to his qualification in FST, he has a B.A of Religion and Cultural Studies (University of Nigeria Nsukka, UNN); M.A of Divinity (SIST, Enugu and Duquesne University Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania); Dip. of Philosophy (Spiritan School of Philosophy, Isienu, Nsukka); Dip. of Computer Studies (FCET, Akoka Lagos); He also has M.A in Biblical Theology from John Paul the Great Catholic University, Escondido, California.
Currently, Fr. Canice is working with the Spiritan International Group of Puerto Rico & Dominican Republic where he is the Administrator of the Parish of La Resurrección del Señor Canóvanas, and the Chancellor of the Dioceses of Fajardo-Humacao, Puerto Rico. He has a great flare for writing, reading and sports.
He is the author of: God’s Word from my Heart to my Lips – Homilies for Sundays and Solemnities, Year C (2018); La Palabra de Dios desde mi Corazón a mis Labios -Homilias para los Domingos y Solemnidades, Año C, (2018); The Divine Sonship of Christ and the Totus Christi (The whole body of Christ), (2018).
