Very surprised this book has not been reviewed yet as it is an excellenty written account of his time in Turkish prisons and given that he was 12 years in them, then it is amazing he came out intact! Author retained a lot of humanity despite desperate times and not sure if many of us could do the same....a very good read!

A good and entertaining read about the countries they visited before many of them become tourist spots. Well written and humourous and makes you rethink your ideas about Americans!

Really enjoyed the book but just a pity about the author's comments about the Wall St protest which was probably best left unsaid. Still a remarkable achievement and you have to admire their persistence in carrying on when most if us would have fallen by the wayside or caught the next bus
