Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I’ve loved to write since I was 6 years old! I penned my first giant fantasy novel by the time I was 14, taught writing classes in high school and college, and have been a writing nerd ever since. It’s in my blood.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in North Idaho, home schooled and living on 6 isolated acres in a small town. As you’d probably guess, I had hours and hours of time to myself, and spent much of that time parked in front a computer playing World of Warcraft and writing about knights, princesses and dragons, or reading books like JRR Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings Trilogy and CS Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia.
