Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Western Pennsylvania, Oakmont to be exact. Oakmont is a suburb of Pittsburgh and is well known for it's tree-lines streets and its golf course.
When did you first start writing?
High school was when my English teacher encouraged me to start writing. Two disappointments in my life are that I cannot remember his name. And I did not take up his advice by entering a completely different field of employment.
