Tom Poland’s work has appeared in magazines, books, and online journals throughout the United States. He’s published eleven books and more than 1,000 magazine features. Forbidden Island, his novel, was published in 2007.
His book, Reflections of South Carolina, is in its fourth printing. The University of South Carolina Press released Save The Last Dance For Me, how the blues became beach music and the shag phenomenon, in the spring of 2012. The USC Press published Reflections Of South Carolina, Vol. II, in 2014. The History Press of Charleston published Classic Carolina Road Trips in 2014.
Solid Ground, his play, was staged by Swamp Gravy, the community theater in Colquitt, Georgia, that is home to Georgia’s Folk Life Drama. It was staged in October 2011 and March 2012.
A Southern writer, author, and Lincolnton, Georgia native, he lives in Columbia, South Carolina. He’s a graduate of the University of Georgia.
