About Four Windows
Four Windows is a novel incubator, creating community with four experienced but unpublished novelists by putting them in a workshop with dedicated and aggressive deadlines to write a novel each in one year.

The workshopping process offers our authors fresh eyes throughout the writing process and gives them the confidence and structure to create their narratives, knowing they have dedicated editors and peers who will be candid and invested in their work.

It is a serial quarterly. We publish one fourth of each novel per issue of Four Windows Journal. Similar to a television series. Each issue is released in a fun sized portion of four stories at about 20 thousand words a piece.

With our belief that setting is vital to both fiction and reality and our focus on community we ask our novelists to base their novels all in the same city. This gives us four different lenses through which to view one community.
