Frances Fanning

Biography

Frances Fanning is a writer, journalist and poet. Since 2005 she has lived in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with her husband and her father.
From 2006 to 2008 she wrote Meet Your Neighbor, a popular weekly features column for The Albuquerque Journal.
Since moving from Bucks County, Pennsylvania to New Mexico, Fanning has published profiles in New Mexico Magazine, Albuquerque the Magazine, the former Rio Rancho Magazine, Albuquerque: The Next Boomtown and El Cronicon. She has published poems in La Herencia, Desert USA, Serene Poems, Moongate International, JB Stillwater and Holiday Word Gifts.
In Pennsylvania Fanning wrote feature articles, profiles and Guest Opinion pieces for several local newspapers, as well as several short stories in The American Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Fanning has had careers in business, retail, and mental health counseling.
Dance, world music, yoga, meditation, reading, writing, hiking and traveling in New Mexico are some of her passions.
