Francis Louis Guy Smith

Biography

Francis louis Guy Smith was born in Gulfport, Ms. and grew up in Pascagoula, Ms.He moved to Texas in 1979 and has traveled the state extensively. His love is writing Christian western fiction that teens can read without worrying about bad language or sex. His working life was spent with the corporate engineering division of a major oil company until his early retirement, when he began his second career as a writer.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I grew up in Pascagoula, Ms. I was influenced by a love for Saturday afternoon western movies, like Roy and Gene. Sunset and Rocky and all the great silver screen cowboys.

When did you first start writing?

My first venture into writing was20 years ago with Oath of Color. A tale of South Ms. from 1926- 1956. Murder and Mayhem in the old south.
