How do you discover the ebooks you read?

Most of the time I'm not actually looking for an e-book to read, they just seem to come my way when I am looking for information about something. However, when I do look for an e-book I either search on Amazon or here on Smashwords.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?

I have never actually written a story for a book, it is not really something that I do when I am writing. Personally I am more into reference and guide books.
