in 1648, parliament forces laid siege to colchester, england. legend says a certain humphrey thompson, was shot off st. mary's church. he became the symbol of royalist defeat. the challenge was to take a famous rhyme, and reflect - new world order, terrorism, hi-tech, sleight-of-hand diplomacy, romance, greed, double cross, and imagined threats, with a thread of tongue-in-cheek frivolity.
