Hi, my name is Gavin Griffiths.
I'm a 47 year old father of teenagers and married to Katharine. I live in Stratford upon Avon, which is a chocolate box little tourist town slap bang in the middle of England. It's famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer of all time. I've never really got Shakespeare I'm ashamed to say, although I keep going back to it just in case it suddenly, out of the blue, grabs me.
Throughout my life I've kept getting drawn into writing, I owned a couple of magazine publishing business for about a decade (one of my books is all about one of those adventures) and career wise I've been attracted to enterprises dealing in creative and wordy endeavours.
My book catalogue is a mish mash of ideas and thoughts as you'll see. There isn't a specific genre at the heart of it and that's intentional. Genres are there to help marketing departments sell books. But the internet has done away with all that. We can write in any niche and connect with our readers. Besides, selling lots of books into a specific topic isn't why I'm writing. For most writers what we're chipping away on our keyboards in the little available time we can find in our busy lives is a yearning to tell you our truths. There is after all only seven different plots that can be written about. The writer then drapes his own thoughts and experiences around these plots making them his or her own. In an obscured, consumerist, social media filtered world the truth is possibly harder to get to than it's ever been (despite it professing to do the opposite). So what I'm about is a simple aim, tell my stories, fact and fiction, in the most truthful way I can.
One last thing, writers love being contacted (unless you're one of those glorious mad reclusive types, which I'm not). If you have any questions on the books i've written, ideas, thoughts, criticism, or just fancy saying hi then drop me a line. I would love to hear from you.

The Bug Out Guy
by Gavin Griffiths
Clem has issues: Crappy job issues, ex girlfriend issues, life expectation issues, hangover issues and civilisation collapsing issues. Everything he thought was safe and secure is about to unravel is a most alarming fashion and he's wholly unprepared for it. This is a novella, a book written to be digested on a ferry trip or a short flight or one of those rainy Sunday mornings
