Gee Davis

Right from a young age the author has had a love for nature and its associated wildlife. She has spent many hours observing the antics of a variety of wild animals. When missing Gee could be found studying an ants' nest or watching fish in a stream.

Now, based in Nottinghamshire, Gee can't go for a walk without stopping and watching the antics of hares or a fox creeping along by a hedge. Over time Gee has turned her hand to painting animals and produced all the illustrations for Ripples in the Water.

Aware that many children don't have the opportunity to spend time watching the antics of wild animals led the author to write her first children's novel based on her own observations. Her local countryside makes a fantastic backdrop for the different characters introduced in Ripples on the Water. Illustrating it was the fun part.

Gee is now working on her second book.
