I have read An Open Secret by Tony Blomert, not for me, but more to have a book to recommend to my beginner/new students. I can honestly say I have found that book. The book is clear and easy to read, and most importantly answers those questions we all once had yet seem to forget to explain to our own students. In my case, I started this club with very few students and therefore we were initially rather informal. Now that we are growing I find those who have started with me as well those just joining asking a lot of the same questions, because I really hadn't explained a lot of the formality or structure that our class is evolving. Having this book, An Open Secret, answers so many of those basic questions that it will easily assist the students in their understanding of the environment that is an Aikido Dojo. Something I with thirty years of training in Aikido simply take for granted. This a very good book for any beginning Aikido student. Gene Martinelli Dojo-Cho Aikido at the Centre Palm Harbor, Florida
