Georg Behrens

I am teaching the Chemistry and Physics A level syllabuses prescribed by Cambridge University for the past 16 years. After qualifying as a teacher and teaching science for two years, I left the profession to work and study on a part time bases for the B.Sc. degree at the University of Pretoria (South Africa), majoring in Physics and Chemistry. The B.Sc.-Honneurs degree was obtained from the University of South Africa through distance learning. At this time I was the divisional head of the division Materials Chemistry at the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA). NECSA supported an opportunity to do research work in surface chemistry at Queen Mary College, London. A M.Sc degree was obtained from the University of Johannesburg for a dissertation based on this research work. I left NECSA in 1997 and was appointed as science teacher at Silver Oaks International private school from 2000 to date.
