George Henry

George Henry is a fan of the noir novels of writers such as Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett, in which self-destructive protagonists swim in a sea of corruption towards lose-lose situations on a distant dark shore. However, George is far more optimistic than that: he adds humour and the hope of love to his thrillers. Don't expect pat endings—he's noticed that life doesn't serve them up very often.

Influenced by the Philip Kerr's hard Berlin detective, Bernie Gunther, Robert Wilson's fixer and debt collector, Bruce Medway, and Len Deighton's insubordinate spy, Harry Palmer, George Henry paints his morally pragmatic protagonist, the witty Milo Marchetti, into furiously paced thrillers with memorable characters, including disturbing women for his love interest.

The sequel to Blood Rain in Trieste will be released in late 2018. Follow the continuing story of Milo Marchetti and Adara Nasim.

George Henry was born in England. A graduate of Sheffield University, he has worked in scientific research and education in England, the United States of America, Canada and Saint Lucia, W.I. He lives with his wife in British Columbia, Canada.
