I loved the cover of the book. It is well represented of the contents. Whoever designed it well done. The poem itself was nicely written, my only qualm is that it is too short. I would have loved this to have been a short story. Perhaps the writer would write one maybe as some prose or something to add more to the book. I have to say well done.
  • Sounds Fishy: Mermaid Haikus and Wisdom on Feb. 02, 2013

Although this was supposed to be a humourous book, I didn't laugh much but laughed a little. Maybe my humour is differet. The book is adult based inuendos in some of the verses. Not much sauce! The artwork was good, I liked it.
  • If I Couldn't Be Me, I'd Be a...CAT! on Feb. 02, 2013

It doesn't take time to download at all. Now to my review of this little book. I get where the author is going with this, but I had to laugh when I thought about the being like a cat, and extending a leg skyward to clean ones bum. No thanks lol. It is a funny tail ( pardon the pun!) lol
  • Burnt Toast on Feb. 03, 2013

When I started to read this it was quite funny, but as it progressed to the middle and towards the end the humour seemed to wain as rhymes of people either the author know or is made up didn't seem as funny as the reat. I liked the first and last poem. Reason for the two stars there was way to much space in the book. People would be incline to think it is the end of the book with all that space. Otherwise it is an ok read.
  • The Howling Winds on Feb. 03, 2013

Wow that was very deep and full of meaning. I really liked many of the poems contained in this book. It was doom and gloom in parts and thought provoking. I think the reviewer below me review got her assessment of Jess' book/writing totally wrong. I read this book twice and found the more I read it the more I understood Its the deepest writing I have read so far. I cannot fault the writing. I wish I could give it more stars.
  • The Promise on Feb. 10, 2013

Loved this book.I have a degree in ancient languages so I have a genuine perspective in which to review the language in this book. In defence of the author, I did notice that she mentioned she was only touching on old english and is a mixture of crossover dialects from old to modern. She did not boost that it is totally old english. The author clearly does have a grasp on old english which I have also read in her other book. Aside of that, I totally enjoyed this book. Lots of lovely poems to fuel your imagination. You will clearly have some favourites as I do. Going to read her novel next. This author is one to watch.
  • "Profit Solved" 3 Easy Steps Guide on Aug. 11, 2013

For a model for a business plan and trying to grab peoples attention will not work with this book. Simply because it is badly composed. The templates as such are mumbo jumbo and even with some descriptions as to what the profit plan is, it is still not clear.
