How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords allows me to get my books out into the market place fast without much hassle or expense. I like the do it yourself features and the fact that they convert my book for me into all the necessary popular digital styles that readers enjoy.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The USA Real Estate Industry Crisis had my fellow Realtors especially the Newly Licensed Realtors at their wits end with trying to stay afloat in such a slow moving dreadful market. Many Real Estate Agents left the industry; those who stuck the bad times out needed new methods and strategies to survive. I had been training and mentoring New Real Estate Agents in sales, marketing and promotions for sometime and my students started referring their friends to me. Many Agents who wanted to take my classes lived too far away to attend in person so I began to put together a few guide books so they could still learn the basics of what I teach. The Real Estate License Schools focus on helping students pass their state exams but business sense and marketing training is also equally important for a new realtor to succeed. My books fill in the gaps missed by the Realty Schools and then take you further so you can compete and build yourself a future and enjoy a profitable career. Community networking, ad copywriting, niche targeting, negotiating with style, online and offline marketing, Digital, SEO and PPC promotion plus using the MLS are all covered and much more.
