  • And Then She Kissed Me on March 02, 2017

This is a superbly crafted love story for adult readers. Entrancing and realistic from beginning to end. It will make you feel good about the world and the power of love.
  • Assassins on Nov. 09, 2017

Excellent premise and story entertainingly told. Well worth the read despite some distracting punctuation and less than perfect editing.
  • Furry Tongue on Dec. 13, 2017

This is a delightfully written account of the adventures and misadventures of one young man's discovery of life and the world. Funny, entertaining and informative. Superb editing (maybe something to do with the 10 years it took to write) and unique writing style. Loved this book.
  • Captive on Jan. 31, 2018

It is extremely difficult to write a review which adequately acknowledges the high literary quality of the first three books in the Crocodile Spirit Dreaming series. The plot remains gripping as each book evolves and the Australian locations (from my own experience) are exquisitely described. There are a lot of words to read but the advantage of this is that the author succeeds in bringing the characters to life. I truly became emotionally involved with the people and places in this superbly written series.
  • Deep State of Mind - Tonight at Eleven on May 06, 2018

Thoroughly entertaining and enlightening read. The plot builds slowly into a thrilling conclusion after navigating a path full of political and industrial intrigue. For those with an open mind it is sure to provide new behind-the-scenes insights into the Trump Presidency.
  • Kinfolk on July 08, 2018

This is a superbly crafted crime and detective novel with several unexpected twists and turns as the story evolves. Really enjoyed reading this book.
  • Muse Poop on Nov. 03, 2018

Rarely have I had the pleasure of reading a book so full of common sense observations of the folly, ignorance and stupidity of many current forms of human endeavour. The book delivers far more than the humor and comedy classification might indicate. When it comes to cutting edge satire I rank this work right up there with Tom Lehrer who was perhaps the greatest English language satirical lyricist of the 20th century.
  • The Voices in My Head on Jan. 26, 2019

This superbly written book was a real joy to read. Bite sized stories covering a wide range of topics; philosophy, humor, politics, emotions and the varied challenges of life. Highly recommended, and many thanks to the author for making this book available to all of us.
  • neXt on April 18, 2019

An utterly delightful collection of humor, irreverence, weirdness, self-deprecation, and imaginative short stories. Despite the author's insistence otherwise the stories are beautifully crafted. In the final "About the author" page Mr Manion asks "who cares about the author" Well quite frankly I did and do, even if only as the great satirical lyricist Tom Lehrer once suggested for the purpose of discovering "what made him that way" For other such inquisitive souls I highly recommend his website for even more superb entertainment.
  • Trouble Insurance on June 15, 2020

Superb read about insurance and the dubious characters who seek inventive ways to take advantage of it. Presented with a lot of subtle humour. Highly recommended.
  • Death by Chocolate on June 08, 2021

This is one of the best mystery books I have ever read. Exquisitely written and competently edited. Quirky characters and humor throughout. Worth every one of the five stars.
