Akecheta Tadoka cannot speak with others, but comes upon Zander and the boy. Together, they try to save him and survive.

Daemon pursues the kidnappers; the exit is blocked by a truck after the kidnappers escape. The truck driver is with the kidnappers and Daemon uses force to counter the force of the kidnappers to prevent harm from further befalling his family.
