In an ancient land, long ago, there was a village of patupaiarehe (mystical Maori fairies). These patu had festivals every season and had many happy ties with other villages and with the pari (fairies) from India.Their autumn festival consisted of a gumboot throwing competition and a competition to see which child had the most gorgeous gumboots.Gyani and friends save the day after a spot of trouble.
Nogard the little dragon lives in a quaint village of vegetarian, compassionate, and loving dragons. He does not do a very good job of guarding the food, gets growled at, and runs away. He becomes so lost and sad. He is found by Gyani and friends and all ends well.
Chani the magic cat hears some beautiful music. Chani sees into other worlds but not in the human world. She finds Gyani the Peacock Angel. The music is Gyani's singing.Gyani sings in rhyme and hides her face from view. She has fairy dust and a magic carpet.Gyani & Chani fly off together on the magic carpet on many adventures. They help sad and lost little beings to find their way "home" to happiness.
