Herb Reed

When I was going through my junior high and senior high school years, I took some speech classes and found that I loved to speak publicly and that I was not afraid to speak in front of a live audience. Later in life, I found myself speaking to Sunday School Children, Church Congregations, and publicly to a live audience. I also fell in love with English classes like American Literature and English Literature classes. But I didn't stop there, because there was my News Reporting and Writing class in college where I got to interview people and then publish it in the college newspaper. Then later, as a Sunday School Teacher I was able to write my own lessons for Sunday School. Besides Sunday School, I was able to teach Bible Studies of which I was privileged to write myself for Wednesday night Bible Study. Later still, I got to write for my local newspaper, the Mesquite Local News. Speaking and writing were two of the things I love to do the most and now I'm a published author.

  • Writing Fight Scenes on Nov. 07, 2012

I found a long time ago that one book can't tell the whole story or give all of the ideas that are required to do whatever you want to achieve. Saying that, I found Writing Fight Scenes was a good start for me in understanding the differences in fight scene writing. In fight scenes, writing everything in one book would be a huge volume or a long series of books. I say that Rayne Hall did a very good job in opening one's mind to think along the fight scene writing spectrum and therefore making us think for ourselves on how we will write our own scenes.
  • Psalms in the Key of my Life on July 14, 2013

I love the Psalms as they speak to our daily walk in this life. I read the 1st Psalms by Carol Moye and felt the Spirit of the Living God move within me and verify that this will be a great book because words speaks of how we face issues today. It's written with We the Christian of today in mind on how we can look out and say, "Yes, I can overcome because I can relate to what's said more clearly." Thank you Carol for this great book.

Loved this read. As I was reading it I thought about me in such a situation. I was there participating with the group and when the people turned around to look at something else, I was gone from their sight, yet present but invisible. I've had those thoughts growing up. Great Read. I have it archived in my library to read again.
  • The Red Pill on Oct. 05, 2013

Great read. This book shows how the U. S. Government works today and how other governments operate and have operated in the past before they destroyed themselves. .
  • The Truth About Conspiracy Theories on Oct. 05, 2013

Great book. I think I would call this book a primer for 'The Red Pill' which is another great book and goes a little deeper into the Conspiracy theories.
