Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
Following the Ladies of Westside Series, I am currently in drafting mode of a fun, swoon-worthy, teacher love story. I had originally written the story in two parts spaced about 13 years apart, but am thinking of joining them into one story, with either flashback scenes interspersed throughout, or just allude to what happened in the past. I haven't decided yet - something for me to work on in 2019. As it stands now, I am planning on it being a standalone, and not part of a series. However, if I keep it as two parts, then it will be a duology at most. Keep your eyes peeled, and follow along on my blog as I drop subtle hints.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
At first I was super hesitant to make the switch from traditional paper books to e-books. However, I was given a KOBO as a gift from my husband, and by time I finished reading my first e-book, I was hooked. I love that I can read into the middle of the night with my backlit KOBO, It's slim design and lightweight design allow me to bring it anywhere as it fits nicely in my purse as doesn't make my wrists ache from holding a heavy book.

  • Deception on Feb. 16, 2015

I thoroughly enjoyed Deception. It was an engaging read and took me about 90 minutes to read - perfect for a nice afternoon break with a cup of tea. On my kobo, it listed the downloaded book as 100 pages so I was quite shocked when the story ended on page 60. I WASN'T FININSED YET - I still wanted to read more about Sacha and Trey, and felt that their story wasn't yet complete. I did feel that the story wrapped up well enough, albeit quickly, but I personally would've liked more development on the romance front. I had to keep reminding myself that this is a short story - but Grace has an amazing foundation here - and she could easily expand this into a full length novel - developing the other characters around the main two. Included as a nice 'bonus'- the remaining 40 pages on my kobo contain excerpts from her other novels - some of which I can't wait to read. Want a great afternoon read - this is the book for you.
  • The Olds on May 30, 2015

I enjoyed this quick read, although I wish it was longer. As I was reading it through, I found myself wondering where the story was going, and some parts had me questioning for further details. Then as I approached the end, it all came together nicely.
