Nicholas Pavitt

Biography

Nicholas Pavitt, from Stoke-on-Trent, spent a childhood in Somerset as a potter's son drawing and drawing, before back in Staffordshire he happened upon the magical world of the Hatpeople.

He also put the Hatpeople away on a shelf for almost twenty years, before their call to be free became too great and he had to draw and write them back to life, liberty and the chance to be enjoyed by children.

Now a teacher living on the outskirts of London, with his wife and daughter, he hopes he can do the Hatpeople justice and bring some sunshine and magic to a child's rainy day.
