Ulysses Harmony Garcia, also known as Heavenly Harmony, loves making and listening to Western music and Jazz. In addition, Ulysses enjoys reading realistic fiction, including speculative science fiction, writing and journaling, surfing the internet, and playing around with sounds to make new ones.
Ulysses was born in Hillsborough, Oregon, and is completely blind and hard-of-hearing. Despite these challenges, Ulysses has made great strides to achieve academic success, though Ulysses may tend to procrastinate like everyone else.
Ulysses is also a great advocate and social justice warrior for various minority groups, such as disability, LGBTQ, and more. 'Intersectionality is important,' says Ulysses, referring to situations where people with multiple disabilities may be subject to poor treatment because of ignorance.

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
My favourite authors include Lurlene McDaniel, Deborah Kent, Marilyn Reynolds, Suzanne Young, R. L. Stine, and others that I can't think of at the top of my head.
Most of these authors write young adult fiction that are true to reality. Some, like Judy Blume, believe in writing honestly without censorship.
I also enjoy reading books about LGBTQIA teens and adults from various walks of life.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a medical science nerd, so I spend hours on my computer surfing the web and making notes in my diary to come up with new ideas that haven't been thought of.
I'm also a nature lover, and I love the smell of rain. So, when I catch a scent of wet earth wafting through my slightly-opened window, I'll immediately set everything aside to inhale its wonderful aroma. I love aromatherapy for this reason.
I also like using my various musical instruments, such as the flute, clarinet, and pump organ so I can multitrack and make high-quality arrangements of my favourite pieces.
