This is the story of Paula's opportunity to grow up, see the world more nearly as it is and understand people, especially family a bit more. The story unfolds slowly from her point of view and you feel as she did - understanding how knowledge comes slowly. I enjoyed this and found the world outside the Neutral Territory to be intriguing if rather violent. I wonder if we'll hear more of it. The characters were definitely more gray than plain black or white which made for a much more interesting storyline.
