Henry Africa

Former Top South African baseball player turned attentions to writing in 1998. Since then has published several books via major online ebook sellers. can do a google search to find them all over the net.

Time has refined the skills that one has learnt only if the pain of life is studied and memorized. It is through pain that the most amazing lessons are learnt. The saying, WITHOUT pain there can be no gain is true as I have experienced the greatest amount of learning during the most painful times of my life.

If you do not experience pain then your writing is only surface deep. It is that pain, that makes you a writer with TRUE heart... A heart that is able to move people to do things to change the future of many...

Smashwords Interview

A mathematical process underlines my writing. There are 365.25 days in a year and a manuscript of around 330 pages CAN to be finished within 365 days. That results in my page-a-day-day approach.. Its a simple way that I write books...I keep busy with living and just write a page every day...Like a journal...I just remain focused and disciplined... In that way I make sure I am on course to complete books as the years progress... I see writing as part of the bigger picture of living life... Here is ONE reason for this... There are times when you may have the most amazing book to write... All the information could be there in scribblings and A4 notepads... But then there may be just one thing missing.. It is the glue that binds your bestseller...PAIN could be the one FACTOR missing... Without the PAIN of being involved in a true life aspect of that book, you will be delivering something superficial... It's that PAIN that gives you the depth and the authenticity of THE STORY..The FEELING needed to produce tears in a reader... You have to laugh and cry, as you write and read your books... before anyone else will... You have to be cut to the heart before you can deliver the kind of emotional journey that makes someone else want to travel there with you... That is a process... Its called living... Sometimes the only way we submit to that PAIN PROCESS is if God pushes us down that road... We may not voluntarily go down there if we had a choice...
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Have a lot of community projects I am involved in. At some stage of life you understand the importance of passing on a legacy...I spend a lot of time thinking about what I am going to write next. Meditating on what I have done and what I would still like to do... Writing is a product of your imagination and your imagination is never idle... You have to find places where you can discover who and what you were created to be. That process starts with a critical analysis of what and where you are at the time you begin writing. Kinda like doing a SWOT of who you really are. Once you have done that, and still have your sanity intact, have learnt to love yourself for what you have done so far, only then you are able to love others and make a difference in their perceptions... Writing changes the reader... The reader should enjoy the change process..

Writing is a gift to people. You start a process to share who you are and what makes you special. Your joys, your discouragements. The despair you have experienced all shine through in your writing. Your success will come from an internal struggle to find out who you are and what your purpose is. It would be far simpler to pray to God. He would be bound to show you. Pray to Satan and he will show you too. That is part of the rules of this game they are playing. The prize is your soul. Makes the passage through life less stressful if you understand the rules of that game... But then we human beings want to do it our way. We doubt when others makes claims like this one... We need to fail to be true to ourselves. In getting up we find out what we are capable of. Failing teaches us our strengths and weaknesses... You can choose to follow God or Satan... Its a FREE CHOICE we have to make in many different situations and they ALL have consequences... The choice opens up a gate that leads down a road... Think carefully before you open up the wrong gate and proceed down a road without being aware of the consequences further down that road... You may not be able to backtrack to where you started...
