Now at the half century mark, I have known I was a writer since grade 3. Other relevant life experiences : am a wife, mother and artist, Registered Nurse for humanitarian and monetary reasons, was an organic greenhouse farmer, commercial fisherman, bank teller, cashier, waitress, saleswoman. Long Ridge Writers Group graduate of two 3 credit courses, and previously published in Nursing Spectrum, Going Bonkers and Military Magazines and in the first Necrology Ezine. My favorite writer is Dean Koontz--there isn't a book that he can write that I won't like, and my favorite book of all time is : "Of Human Bondage". OMG!A Book to read and reread, memorize and learn from. Derek puts in words those sneaky suspicions that we've all had about our life not being what it was meant to be. This book could not have come at a better time in my life! Thank you Derek!

Dead Silence

I think this story has very good potential, but needs to be rewritten. First the grammar needs to be fixed (don't when written don' t --is very annoying to read--is that your keyboard doing that?) You need to research a little more. An example is when the main character is at the hospital, three nurses swarming around him is more likely than three doctors. And you need to flesh out your characters more. Flesh out your action scenes, every word you put into a story has a purpose for being there, and that includes the dialogue. Read a few more Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and your favorite authors, to get the hang of it, and continue to write. I'm serious. I have a short attention span and no patience and I had to finish the story to find out where it was going. Good luck!
