Biography
I have my parents to thank for my love of reading. Lost both of them by the time I was eight, but I still remember my mother reading to me whenever we had a thunderstorm, by candlelight if the power went out. My dad was never without a book in his hands. After their loss, books became a refuge, a place of solace, comfort, contentment and escape. I was reading high school level books by 6th grade and haven't stopped since. Early loves included Greek, Roman, Norse and Celtic mythologies. Followed quickly by Science Fiction. Heinlein, Poul Anderson, Wells, Verne, particularly Harlan Ellison were constant companions. I branched out into Horror and obsessed over Poe, Lovecraft, then Clive Barker and many others. Eventually found Romance in my twenties. Nora Roberts/JD Robb, Laurell K Hamilton, which has led me to Erotica, dark especially, BDSM, paranormal, D/s, but I'll give just about anything a try.
I vigorously support Indie publishing, which has led me to becoming an author and blogger. I'm a Wicked Pen writer as well as a NuRomantic. You can also find me on Soundcloud and Podbean reading selected works of myself and others. I want to raise awareness of Indie authors, and increase our stature and presence in the publishing industry. As a former Administrative Assistant in Advertising and in Textbook publishing, proofreading and syntax are second nature to me. Feel free to drop me a line should you wish to discuss any or everything. Always looking for like minded people to have interesting and stimulating conversations with. Yes, I'm a sapiosexual, which may have some of you running to your dictionary, but that intellectual spark is a craving I still need to feed.
