Inita N. Callaway, affectionately called “Boonie,” is a mom of two children, the eldest of two siblings, and a lover of all things black. Inita’s unrequited love for words made it difficult for her to own her truth as a writer. “Once I realized that I had the power over the words, I did not care if they loved me back, I am the puppet master of these words.” Writing has always been inside of her, but she was too scared to share her abilities with the world. Once she took a chance on herself and got over her fears, doors flung. Inita created a blog, wrote a book, and is currently ghostwriting.
Inita attended Northeastern Illinois University and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. Soon after, she set her sights on being a communications/writing professional and attended National Louis University, NLU, where she completed their master’s in written communications. Life did not go as planned, but persistence, patience, and faith lead her to this point to finally follow what was in her heart. Inita has finally found her purpose and will continue to put pen to paper to edify.
