Kudzai Shoko
Biography
Kudzai was born in 1967, Zimbabwe. He is a certified and ordained Pastor. He is also a counselor. He is an avid sports follower having pursued a professional sports career, retiring early to pursue God’s purpose for his life. He is privileged with engaging both the ecclesia and the corporate and community environment. He has managed and consulted various businesses within the sport, automotive, insurance, executive search and non-government sectors.
Kudzai is a multi-faceted manager who has acquired valuable management experience in sports administration, church administration, executive search, coaching, sales and marketing within the automotive industry, as well as short-term insurance broking over the last 25 years. He is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in start-up ventures, pioneering and establishing vision in the fore-mentioned sectors.
He has experience abroad, extensively traveling Europe, Far East, Australia, Asia and the US, engaging in various sports, representing Zimbabwe at national level as a player, coach and administrator. He played Junior World Cup Hockey in Vancouver, Canada; and also played in the Africa Games in Nairobi, Kenya. He was a First Class Cricketer, the highlight being having played in the Surrey League in England.
He held the position of General Manager for the Zimbabwe Cricket Academy. He has represented Zimbabwe as the Home Board Representative assisting the International Cricket Council (ICC) Match Referee during the One Day International series between England and Zimbabwe. He was also appointed a National Cricket Selector of which he humbly turned down.
He is a skilled and pragmatic negotiator, able to structure and manage complex relationships within sports, church and community structures, by being strategically and operationally competent. Kudzai is able to operate and communicate at board level and work closely with top management. He has solid professional training, qualification and certification. He is change-oriented; and adaptable in managing conflict well. He has also honed his professional abilities with good project management skill.
He founded and today runs a consulting entity, Kearoyd Trading CC providing Business Development Management skills to Ennea International in Team Development Processes for corporate South Africa and international entities; Afrika Tikkun (Non-Profit Organisation); Equal Opportunity Foundation (Socio-Economic Development); The Father’s Cry (Ministry focused on Fatherhood in USA); in the past have provided such skills for Stanton Chase and BoardConnect (Executive Search). He is a Director, Master Trainer and Instructor at the National Centre for Fathering Southern Africa (NCFSA, under the auspices of I Can Foundation) initiatives. He has also consulted I Can Foundation for the HIV Aids “Stop” Campaign in South Africa. Kudzai is a member of the community team of the Lighthouse Run, an initiative that seeks to shed light on women and child abuse; and has recently taken up directorship. This initiative, Kudzai has provided both pastoral and fatherhood footage that is being used in the publishing of a documentary to be realised shortly. Alongside his wife, Cleopatra, he is an Itinerary Minister and motivational speaker; he is also the co-founder of Integrity for Legacy International Ministries (ILMI), a non-profit organisation. ILMI seeks to serve passionately the needs and interests of the church, corporate and community. They have over 20 years experience in church ministry. Kudzai endeavours to create value as: a Transformational Leader; Inspirational Speaker; Mentor to Mentors; Change Agent; and a Life-Skills Coach.
