In the late 1970s, when his church ministry seemed at its zenith, Pastor Dick Woodward was afflicted with a rare degenerative disease of the spinal cord that slowly and steadily left him a bedfast quadriplegic. In spite of huge obstacles and crippling limitations in his life, he remains active in small groups, mentoring, and writing Bible study materials.
Pastor Woodward received his B.A. degree from Biola University and did graduate work at San Jose State University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author of many devotional and inspirational booklets. His expository survey of the scriptures, known as the Mini Bible College (MBC), has been translated into 26 languages and used around the world to nurture and assist church growth.
This husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who celebrated his 80th birthday in 2010, often says, “The less I can do, the more the Lord does.”
